Swedish born and practising yet English trained homeopath, Elisabet Agar describes case taking as a complex yet needed aspect of the role of a Homeopath. She compares this with her experience of the allopathic medical world in Sweden which is opposed to the whole person view.
  • In Sweden it is illegal for a child to receive homeopathy before age 8 and the government is considering increasing this age to 15. The restriction applies to all complementary treatments.
  • A medical professional is banned from supplying complimentary treatments along with allopathic medicine. It is illegal for a doctor to study homeopathy.
  • When a patient visits a doctor in Sweden they are only allowed to address one symptom. There is no opportunity to look at the whole person in the doctor visit.

Quote: "Nurse practitioners who are also trained in Homeopathy in Sweden will hide that they have knowledge of homeopathy
